Warburtons have used Citrix to deploy business applications to their remote offices and staff for many years. While thin clients have proven to ease deployment and management in the past, the need to support MS Teams offloading and provide unified communications to both office and home working staff recently led them to move to IGEL OS as their preferred OS of choice to connect to their Citrix workspace.
VOS has for some time utilised Windows 7 embedded thin clients, but since the EOL of Windows 7, VOS turned to T4Change to help them come up with a new solution. IGEL OS has helped replace Windows on both the thin clients and Windows desktops that are used by VOS, saving capital expenditure and reducing operating cost.
The City of Corona will discuss how moving apps and desktops to the Azure cloud via WVD with Citrix and IGEL enabled the City of Corona to promptly respond to the new work-from-home requirement caused by the pandemic. We will also hear from Pittsburgh Mercy, a community health and wellness provider, on how they were able to quickly move many of their employees to their homes at the start of the pandemic with the help of Citrix and IGEL.
